National Lampoon's Amazing Race

Amazing Race 8 is about to begin. The season could be a disaster, if rumors are correct: families did not work well for the shows hard slog around the world. That didn't stop yours truly from claiming that he saw one of the racers, nor did it stop a journalist from using my testimony.

Wow, did that reporter ask your permission?

I am still holding out hope for this season, but I am also worried. I think they should have cast more diverse families instead of so many traditional mom, pop, and two kids types. There are so many other types of families out there, I was rather disappointed that they did it this way. Plus, they are only doing North America - b-o-r-i-n-g!

I was, in fact, contacted by a reported after my blog post. I don't know how much I qualified my statement.

I think "America only" is a rumor. However, I think the course will stick to English friendly locations. If the rumor is true, however, CBS would have advertised falsely -- the commercial shows cutouts of the Eifel Tower and Big Ben.
